Testosterone Cypionate at a glance

Premixed in oil, usually 200mg/mL (also 100mg/mL) in 1mL or 10mL vials — Frequency: 2x weekly — Best taken: same days each week (e.g. Mon/Thu), any time

What it does

Testosterone can raise the effect of blood thinners like warfarin (INR needs closer monitoring) and can lower blood sugar in people on insulin or diabetes medication. It raises hematocrit and suppresses the body's own testosterone and sperm production. Regular blood work (hematocrit, PSA, estradiol, lipids) is part of any TRT prescription — use it only under a prescribing doctor.

Notes

Premixed in oil, not reconstituted. The strength comes from the vial label (usually 200mg/mL); at 200mg/mL one U-100 syringe unit is 2mg. Store at room temperature — refrigeration can crystallise it.

Side Effects

Testosterone Cypionate strengths and syringe units

Testosterone Cypionate is premixed in oil, so there is no water to add. The strength printed on the vial label sets how much one syringe unit holds. One unit is 0.01 mL on a U-100 insulin syringe.

Worked example for Testosterone Cypionate

  1. Strength on the label: 200 mg/mL.
  2. Example quantity: 50 mg.
  3. Volume: 50 mg ÷ 200 mg/mL = 0.25 mL.
  4. Syringe reading: 0.25 mL × 100 = 25 units.

Label numbers from the Dosify Me data, used to show the arithmetic. Not a recommendation of any quantity.

Frequently asked

How many units is 100 mg of Testosterone Cypionate at 200 mg/mL?

At 200 mg/mL, 100 mg of Testosterone Cypionate is 0.5 mL, which reads 50 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe (each unit holds 2 mg).

How many mL is 50 mg of Testosterone Cypionate?

0.25 mL at 200 mg/mL, or 25 units on a U-100 insulin syringe. At 100 mg/mL the same dose is 0.5 mL, so check the strength printed on your vial.

Do I add bacteriostatic water to Testosterone Cypionate?

No. Testosterone Cypionate comes premixed in oil at the strength printed on the label, so there is nothing to reconstitute. The calculator only needs the strength and the dose.

How many mg is 1 mL (1 cc) of Testosterone Cypionate?

1 cc is the same volume as 1 mL. At 200 mg/mL, 1 mL holds 200 mg and 0.5 mL holds 100 mg; at 100 mg/mL, 1 mL is 100 mg. The strength is printed on the vial label.

How many doses are in a 10 mL vial of Testosterone Cypionate?

A 10 mL vial at 200 mg/mL holds 2000 mg in total. Divide that by the dose you draw: 100 mg per injection gives 20 injections, 50 mg gives 40 injections.

How often is Testosterone Cypionate taken?

2x weekly. Same days each week (e.g. Mon/Thu), any time.

How should Testosterone Cypionate be stored?

Store at room temperature, 20-25°C (68-77°F), away from light. Do not refrigerate: cold can make it crystallise. If crystals appear, warming and shaking the vial should dissolve them.

About these figures

Published by San Tan Group, LLC, the company that makes the Dosify Me app. About Dosify Me

Figures come from the Dosify Me compound database for Testosterone Cypionate: concentration is the vial amount ÷ the water volume, and syringe units are the volume in mL × 100 on a U-100 syringe.
